How much does a photo session cost?
My standard portrait session fee is $175.00. You can read more about session pricing, and the various options for prints here. Where are you located? I have two studios: - Boston, MA, at 840 Summer St. A short cab or bus ride from the South Station/Red line T stop. There's usually some on-street and off-street parking to be found, but sometimes parking can be a challenge. Click here for directions to my Boston studio. - Lowell, MA, in the Western Avenue Studios building. It's a beautiful mill building, and is home to over 120 working artists. It's an short drive off of route 495, with plenty of parking, and is also easily accessible via the commuter rail. Click here for directions to my Lowell studio. How long is a photo session? A typical session usually runs between two and three hours. Will my photographs appear on your website? Not unless you want them to. Everyone you see on my website has given me permission to display their photographs. If I think there's a particularly wonderful photograph of you that I'd like to use in some way, I'll ask you for permission, but you're free to decline. How do I schedule a session? I usually schedule my shoots at least a couple of weeks in advance, but last-minute bookings are sometimes possible. Special holidays like Valentine's Day and Christmas are typically pretty busy for me, so please try not to wait until the last minute to schedule something with me. Please write me at matthew@erochron.com to work out a schedule. What should I bring to the session? Some things I recommend bringing: a hairbrush (and if you have long hair, some hair ties or something to put your hair up/back with); a robe or coverup to wear during breaks; some bottled water or juice; some sort of a snack to eat during the session (if you don't eat a good meal before the shoot, I can almost promise you that you'll want something to eat at some point). Fruit, granola bars, pretzels and nuts make good choices. Can I bring someone with me? Yes: there's a sitting area for guests. If you want to bring someone, I do ask that you only bring ONE person, and that you choose someone with whom you really feel comfortable. My experience has been that friends make better chaperones than spouses. Is there anything I should do to prepare for the shoot? Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes or underwear on the day of the shoot, and drink plenty of water. Elastic sometimes leaves marks on skin that can show up in the photographs. You don't need to do anything special with makeup or your hair unless you want to. My studio is near Boston, MA, in the Western Avenue Studios building. If you bring a chaperone, I do ask that you only bring ONE person, and that you choose someone who feels comfortable with nude and erotic photography. |
